Russell Drilling is a locally-owned and operated family business with more than 32 years of professional experience. Thirteen full-time employees deliver comprehensive water well drilling and additional contracted services for commercial and residential clients.

Travis Russell, President

Travis was born and raised in Nacogdoches. He started drilling waterwells as an independent contractor in 1979 and founded Russell Drilling with his wife, Pam, in 1981. Prior to Russell Drilling, Travis was a driller in Texas oilfields, and worked for Tri-State Oil Tools in Kilgore as a Fishing Tool Expert.  His experience building and selling tools, gives Travis unique insight in using, creating, renting and buying the right tools for any job. He works closely with engineers and offers consulting services to companies, municipalities and individuals. Travis is a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and has served as song director, Sunday school teacher and deacon. He is also a Master Mason, a member of the Knights Templar, York Rite, Scottish Rite and a Shriner with the Sharon Temple in Tyler. Travis has served on the school board of Central Heights High School for more than 30 years and is past president. He was part of an international mission group who installed water purification systems that improved the lives of the Kuna Indians in the Darién Jungle in Panama.

Pam Russell, Vice-President

Pam was born and raised in Henderson. She co-founded Russell Drilling with her husband, Travis, in 1981. Pam's experience includes billing, accounts receivable and office manager duties. She currently wears many hats from IT expert to executive marketing director. Pam also manages all of the government grant fulfillment. She attended Kilgore College, was a member of Zeta Phi Omega sorority and performed as a Rangerette. Pam is a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and has served on the building and grounds committee, nursery coordinator, decorating committee, Sunday school teacher and pianist. She is an active member of the Texas Groundwater Association's Ladies' Auxiliary and moved the group toward a new direction of service that includes significant projects and gifts for burn hospitals, womens' shelters and active service men. Pam served on the Central Heights High School Booster Club, was active in the Mothers' Club of Nacogdoches, and is a proud member of the Aggie Mom's Club. She and Travis are the proud parents of Aggies: Phillip and Megan.

Roger was born and raised in Nacogdoches. He joined Russell Drilling in 1982. Prior to Russell Drilling, Roger was a driller in Texas oilfields. He is particularly interested in design and water treatment and purification. Roger is a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and has served as a long-time Sunday school teacher, deacon and on the maintenance and grounds committee. He was part of an international mission group who installed water purification systems that improved the lives of the Kuna Indians in the Darién Jungle in Panama. He and his wife Carol live in Nacogdoches and have two children, Blake and Allison.

Leroy "Paw-Paw" Barrett, Job Foreman

Leroy was born and raised in Nacogdoches. He has worked with Russell Drilling since the beginning, in 1981, and is a trusted member of the day-to-day team. Leroy is a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. He and his wife Sue live in Garrison and have three boys: Josh (also a part of the Russell Drilling team), Matthew and Phillip.

Donna Chapman, Secretary
Donna joined the Russell Drilling team in 2002. She continues to serve as vital role in daily operations and can be contacted for information about account services, payable, receivables and other important office duties. She and her husband, Dennis, live in Nacogdoches with five rescued cats and eight rescued dogs. Donna and Dennis are the proud parents of one daughter who is happily married and living in San Antonio with two grand-cats and four grand-dogs.
